I begin to think about old TV shows that I would watch as a kid, and those shows that I would watch (reruns) as I got older because of a lot of sleepless nights. One show blipped a familiar phrase in my mind, from the Star Trek Series:
"Space... the Final Frontier. These are the continuing voyages of the starship Enterprise. Her ongoing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life forms and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before."
Read it, and read it again! This show intro is still relevant! Its words shout a timeless proclamation for all of us who are still daring to embrace the impossible for our lives. Its words are a powerful and motivating force in my spirit. It is a call to action!
It gives you the vision, the destination, the processes and the strategic plan all in two sentences.
#1 You have to see it clearly before communicating it to others.
It is the perfect pattern for destiny. It opens us up to the unfamiliar and gives us the courage to go after the unknown. Each day has we develop our businesses and ministries we have to have a clear sight about where it is we are going. We have to see it in our mind before it is even made real in the natural space.
#2 Successful people understand processes.
We have to know that the place that we envision for our dream, that there is also a process. And we must know after we have identified a tight process that there will always be continuous improvement. The process for any great plan is going to be a continuing voyage.
#3 Mental and physical energy is a must.
Perseverance will be the fuel that will keep your mind in the right frame. There is going to have to be a great amount of energy exerted to reach the place you see in your mind. Exploration and seeking out are both words that are pact with power and motion.
#4 Successful changes are encompassed by your flexibility and an open mind.
The new life is your willingness to expand your mind and reach out further into the depths of knowledge that is available to us on both dimensions of spiritual and practical application.
#5 You have to know how to build the right alliances. You have to have the ability to create sustaining relationships.
We have to understand people. We must embrace new cultures for your relationships are the anchors that hold us in our cause. Having the courage to seek out the new and unfamiliar is an element that can not be dismissed. Your ability to take risks with wisdom will propel the success in your life and in your relationships.
